Gloria,
Just trying to get in touch to say “hi” after all these years. Your name has recently come up a couple of times in conversations with Jennifer Hennen (Meng) and Barry Keefe and I’ve taken it upon myself to find you on the web. Celebrated my 30th year in radio this month (in Chicago) and I always think of you and everyone else from Sister Lakes Playhouse when I go to my cottage on the weekends in Bloomingdale Mich. (near Gobles). I always pass by the Niles exits and wonder how you are. So anyway, glad to see your still doing well at what you always did well! Take care and all the best! Bob Stroud

Gloria,
Thank you so much for having Marta Dodd and me on your show today. You have always been so supportive of The Old Rugged Cross’s restoration efforts, and your enthusiasm is greatly appreciated. This is a wonderful new media (for an old fashioned girl like myself) and you made it a lot of fun.
One thing we didn’t get to mention when talking to you was our Old Fashioned Hymn Sings that we’re asking area churches to host. Marta does all of the PR, inviting the public and other churches to attend an hour and a half of singing all the old favorite hymns. A free-will offering is taken to benefit the restoration and a brief update about the project, but the rest is just congregational singing.
Again, we thank you the opportunity to let folks know what we’re up to on this very special project. I hope you’ll consider giving us a call when you’re available for a tour. We’d love to show it to you first hand.
I really love this new format!
